Prints for Nepal
All proceeds from prints sold go directly to support those affected by the flash floods in Nepal
On 26 August 2026, flash floods hit the Rasuwa region in northern Nepal, close to the Nepal–Tibet border. The floods have devastated communities, causing significant loss and destruction. Over 1,000 people have been confirmed dead and over a further 5000 people are still missing.
For those who survived, the aftermath means not only coming to terms with the loss of loved ones and homes, but, for many, the loss of their livelihoods as well. Recovering from this catastrophic event will take time and require extensive resources. With roads destroyed, villages have been cut off from one another.
Nepal has been close to my heart since I first visited in 2009 when I volunteered for 4 months. I went on to study the Nepali language at university and, during my studies, worked at the Embassy of Nepal in London promoting bilateral trade between the UK and Nepal.
In December 2025, I returned to Nepal for the third time and had the privilege of trekking through the Rasuwa region with my friend and founder of Supporter Treks, Ripu (pictured).
I was initially reluctant to take my camera with me, as I wanted to keep my bag as light as possible. Ripu encouraged me to bring it and kindly volunteered to carry it throughout the trek. All I had to do, he said, was take the photographs.
Thanks to Ripu, I now have these photographs of the Rasuwa region and the mountains along the Nepal–Tibet border. Many of the places we visited including Syabrubesi where we stayed are destroyed.
To raise funds for communities affected by the floods, I am selling prints of photographs taken during this trek. All proceeds after print costs, go directly towards supporting local relief and recovery efforts.
The proceeds will be split between families that Ripu is in contact with who have lost loved ones, their homes or their livelihoods, and NIDISI Nepal, a local organisation supporting girls and women in the flood-affected region through Women’s Health and Dignity Kits. NIDISI Nepal is run by Shweta Dhakal, whom I met during my last visit to Nepal.
The printers have kindly agreed to provide the prints at a reduced price, helping to ensure that as much of the money raised as possible reaches those who need it most.
